A
nice box containing 55 playing cards and a rule book.
All components are really well produced. The artwork is
simple, but effective with a medieval wood cut feel. The
wording is equally medieval, but quite understandable.
Your
goal is simple: place 8 people cards (called threalms
- 4 peasants and 4 nobles) on the table in a simple layout,
before your opponent does! As you might expect, your opponent
will try to stop you, with 'counter spell' like spoiler
cards (favours) and 'enchantment' type cards (Declarations).
As in medieval times, beware the robber! You can attempt
to rob one of your opponents 'threalm' cards during your
go, and you may be able to add it to your ranks.
Easy
eh? Well, yes, its not brain surgery, but it is a fun
game you can play in about half an hour. The long term
draw of this is limited. Great for their first commercial
game, it is a good step in the right direction.
