This hardback book is designed to support the Legends and Lairs series from Fantasy Flight Games. It is compatible with any d20 campaign and due to the generic ideas within, would be equally useful in any fantasy system, regardless of the rules set used.

Traps and Treachery is a 160 page homage to Thieves in RPG. Inside you will find five chapters dedicated to all aspects of skullduggery. In the first chapter, Way of the Rogue, you will find new d20 prestige classes to enhance the Rogue, along with new feats, skills, equipment, magic items, poisons and atmospheric ideas tips and backgrounds. This is a great resource for players and GMs, providing some ideas that are sure to liven up your games sessions. With a remarkably similar cover design to the Official D&D3E books, it looks grat on your bookshelf too!

For the GM, the remaining four chapters concentrate on Traps. Chapter two, Trap Design, provides an overview of traps in the d20 system, their logical reasons for existing, details on how to develop their Challenge Ratings for a balanced game, why, where and how to use them plus a bonus new 'monster' race of adept trap builders.

Chapters three and four then concentrate on detailing a variety of Mechanical and Magical traps, each fully documented, well illustrated (hey, it looks like many of them could actually work!!) and ranked by Challenge Rating. An INVALUABLE resource for harried GMs.

The final chapter takes a look at Puzzles in the d20 game. From Logic puzzles to Chess like puzzles, Word games to Math challenges, you get ideas and examples of how to enhance a scenario with more cerebral 'traps'.

A great addition to any FRPG library.
