No
longer just Hunters of the Dark....
White
Wolf have gone from strength to strength in the Roleplaying
world. With their flagship products such as Vampire and
Werewolf still selling well, they have developed some
other great lines too. Highly noteable are the Mage: Sorcerers
Crusade and Mage: the Ascension titles. These are still
very dark, but with a different feel to their forerunners.
But WW dont stop here! They are now acting as a publisher
for other rpg houses such as Swords and Sorcery Studios,
who produce the Scarred Lands d20 fantasy roleplaying
campaign setting, and as book publishers too (with the
fantastic Lankhmar series now under the WW lable). And
dont forget the huge range of accessories from notepaper
to amulets to hip flasks that all support the WW roleplaying
experience!

L1,
Demons and Devils, is the first of a new series
of d20 adventure modules designed to slip into existing
campaigns. This booklet contains three adventures
centred round the recovery of magic items. They are
stand-alone, and can be easily customised to suit
your games. These are for 9+, 11+ and 13+ level characters.
Better value than the mini-modules in our opinion,
with great cover and interior artwork |

The
dark tome known as the Book of Nod is available in
a limited edition format. A graphic novel describing
the history of the House of Cain, it features excellent
artwork and design |

New
from SSS and WW is the d20 fantasy roleplaying campaign
setting of the Scarred Lands. This looks like becoming
a classic games locale, and is supported online as
well as on paper. We review it here. |

A
sourcebook for Mage: the Sorcerers Crusade, the Swashbucklers
Handbook is an inspirational piece of work that is
useful to anyone running or indeed playing in an RPG
based in renaisance times. We review it here
(9/10, let down only by the cover art) |

All
you need to know for your Mage: the Ascension campaign
about the countries of the Far East. WW bill this
as 'the complete rules for the unique sorcery of Asia'. |

The
first d20 module from the WhiteWolf publishing house.
Badged as Sword and Sorcery Studios, Necromancer Games,
with web updates available too (new maps and other
stuff?). You can run the adventure standalone or as
a followon from a free download adventure called the
Wizards Amulet, available from Necromancer
Games. Cover art is great, though the internal
layout / artwork / maps are not quite as good as we
had hoped. We have not had time to review the contents
yet.... |
